Reese Witherspoon Confirms 'Legally Blonde 3'

Earlier this week, Deadline reported that MGM was close to a deal with Reese Witherspoon to reprise her Elle Woods character for a third installment of Legally Blonde.

There was speculation as to whether Reese would be in for the third movie or not.

This morning, Reese officially confirmed the news via Twitter with one simple video:

"It’s true... #LegallyBlonde3" she wrote in the caption as she floated past on a pool float in her famous sequined bikini. Reese originally posted a similar photo on the Legally Blonde anniversary two years ago:

"'I’m able to recall hundreds of important details at the drop of a hat' 👙💖🎀 #LegallyBlonde15" she wrote in the caption.

It's been 17 years since the first Legally Blonde hit theaters, and there aren't any details as to what the plot of the third film will be. In an interview with James Corden last March, Reese said maybe Elle is a justice on the Supreme Court at this point, or maybe she's even POTUS. Either way, this installment will have a major female empowerment theme, Deadline reported. Here's how we feel about that:
