While we all know Reese Witherspoon from the movie screens, she’s also been a powerhouse when it comes to sharing her favorite recipes like lentil soup, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, and grandma’s biscuits. However, the actress recently shared a new concoction on TikTok that has fans scratching their heads.

Witherspoon’s video for chococcinos begins by the star bringing two mugs outside and scooping two heaping piles of the fresh powdered snow into the cups. She then added a mixture of salted caramel syrup and chocolate syrup to the mug with a dash of cold brew. Witherspoon eats the result with a spoon and swoons over the taste, but users were alarmed by the addition of snow due to how dirty it can be.

“I thought eating snow was dangerous to our health,” wrote one user. “As someone who grew up in Minnesota, our teachers would always melt snow to show us how dirty it was and not to eat it! Be careful out there,” commented another.

While snow may be dirty, some say snow is safe to eat as long as it’s fresh and untouched, especially with the popularity of snow ice cream. “Snow, evaporated milk, sugar, and vanilla extract makes a great snow cream base for all toppings,” said a TikToker user.

Of course, many chimed in with jokes about not eating the yellow snow, along with other suggestions about what to call the brew including “snowbrew,” “snowychinno,” and “snoffee.” While the jury is out on whether or not this treat is safe to consume, you can also just mix one up using crushed ice from your freezer or ice maker. The drink resembles a sweetened frozen iced coffee and what could be bad about that?
