Reese Witherspoon Bakes Holiday Treat With Son in Festive Video

The recipe instantly became a 'new family favorite.'

Reese Witherspoon is cooking up something sweet for the holidays!

The actress headed into the kitchen to prepare a holiday treat with the help of her 10-year-old son, Tennessee, taking to Instagram on Dec. 23 to upload a video documenting the process.

The easy-to-make recipe is one she discovered via a popular home living publication, she divulged in the clip.

"Okay I saw this recipe in Southern Living," she opened as the snippet began. "It's cracker toffee, and it's the simplest thing."

As the camera displayed the items needed, Witherspoon continued, spilling the beans on the ingredients and how to make the festive, crunchy snack. "You put down the crackers, you make a caramel sauce out of brown sugar and butter, then you bake it for 15 minutes," she said via voiceover.

The social media Reel showcased the Legally Blonde alum and her Santa suit-clad son putting together the elements of the yummy goodies, as they sprinkled toppings like chocolate chips and peppermint shreds onto the candy bark coating of the sweet morsels.

The duo completed the preparation of the decadent bites, with Reese noting you can add "anything you want."

"Easiest holiday treat recipe EVER!! A new family favorite. ❤️😋" she captioned the post.

Once the crisps finished baking (and were cooled down and cut), the 46-year-old appeared on camera donning a navy blue sweater and denim jeans as she smiled, flaunting the finished product. She proudly held the plate of delectables they had created, before wrapping up the clip with: "It's so delicious; so easy—I love an easy treat!"
