Reese Witherspoon Acknowledges Son Deacon Is 'Not a Boy' Anymore in Sweet Update

Reese Witherspoon is celebrating her oldest son Deacon Phillippe's birthday!
The Big Little Lies actress took to Instagram to publicly mark the joyous occasion on Monday morning, Oct. 23, with a collection of heartwarming snaps.
In the first photo, Phillippe crouched down alongside a dog, while he looked to be modeling in a second black-and-white image. A third was a sweet mother-son capture, where the duo can be seen together selfie-style, smiling for the camera while both sporting ball caps.
Also included in the gallery upload was footage of Deacon performing, mic in hand. The young man took the stage in front of an audience to present a musical selection. In the video, he looked suave in a black muscle tank with dark denim, rocking a set of chain necklaces.
"HUGE Birthday wishes to my boy @deaconphillippe!! 🎂 🎈 ☀️Actually not a boy, he is a 20 yr old man today! 🥰 Deacon, you are such a ray of sunshine, love and positivity in this world. Keep shining that wonderful light on us all! I 💗you," she wrote of the newly-minted young adult—whom she shares, along with daughter Ava, 24, with Ryan Phillippe—as he officially exits his teenage years.
The family update received a wave of reactions from fans and followers, who promptly took to the comment section to express their emotions on the celebratory content.
Several commenters had the same thought, making remarks about how much the two favor. "He looks identical to you ❤️❤️," one wrote, in part, as two more social media users followed up with, "Another mini Reese" and "That sweet face! He is TOTALLY your boy."
In addition to her first two children, Witherspoon is also mom to 11-year-old son Tennessee, whom she welcomed with ex-husband, Jim Toth.
