Ree Drummond

Ree Drummond is one tough lady!

The Food Network star recently revealed that she underwent a tooth extraction without sedation, per screenshots of her now-deleted Instagram Story, and it was just as painful as you'd think–if not more.

"I am 54 years old, and I got one of my wisdom teeth pulled 2 days ago," Drummond shared in text over a photo with her daughter Paige, 24, and Paige's friend Anna, during what appeared to be a girls' night out.

The photo also included an arrow pointing out her "gland," which looked slightly swollen.

"I also declined sedation when I got my wisdom tooth pulled on Friday (Dec. 29). It made me feel alive," she joked before continuing on to detail just how painful the procedure actually was. "It reminded me of my one natural childbirth (Bryce)."

"I felt elated afterward!" she added. "Ok bye."

In a separate slide, Drummond admitted that she even asked the oral surgeon if it was possible for her to take her wisdom tooth home. "He said yes," she wrote before confessing, "I declined."

In recent years, The Pioneer Woman star has committed to being open about her health and lifestyle. It began at the start of 2021, and in the three years since, she's provided numerous details about how she's bettered her daily habits and lost over 50 pounds in the process.

Last October, Drummond even applauded Valerie Bertinelli for her "honesty" about learning to love one's body.

"Valerie, your honesty is so beautiful and you won’t ever know the extent of the positive ripple effect these posts will have on the women, both young and not-so-young, who see them," she replied to the One Day at a Time alum's vulnerable Instagram post, which spoke candidly about how Bertinelli has put in the work to change her opinion of health and self-worth since starring in Jenny Craig commercials.
