There's something about a themed food that can sometimes taste so much better than the original. Shaped mac & cheese? Immaculate. Character fruit snacks? Divine. Pumpkin spice? You already know the vibes. This is why I'm way too excited about the red, white, and blue Oreos and Chips Ahoy that are out now in stores—and you should be, too.

Both cookies are on shelves in time for the Fourth of July, but according to the packaging the USA-themed colors are because both brands are proud sponsors of the Olympics. As we know, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics have been postponed for the time being due to health concerns related to COVID-19, but it looks like these colorful treats were meant to be out during the summer games. Still, they can be enjoyed leading up to July 4 because there's never a wrong time for a cookie.

The Oreos come with layers of red and blue creme along with the traditional white vanilla creme. These Oreos' chocolate wafers are also designed with an American flag and the five Olympic rings on the front rather than the normal Oreo texture. The Chips Ahoy cookies also have a festive touch, and along with the normal chocolate chips there are blue and red candy chips in every cookie. Both items can be found at Walmart.

While the look may be totally different, the flavors of both of these cookies are all the same. So even though the Oreo creme might turn your tongue a different color, the taste is the same one you know and love.
