Red Lobster Delights Tastebuds With Trio of Spring Dishes

The seafood spot also unveiled a sweet new lineup of limited-edition cocktails.

Red Lobster is so excited for spring that it's adding new meal options and cocktails to menus nationwide.

On Monday, the seafood restaurant announced it would expand its lineup of shrimp with a school of entrées that cater to almost all tastebuds–and for a good cause, too.

Beginning Apr. 10, customers are invited to try out any of the restaurant's limited-edition Shrimp Trios plates, which is precisely what it sounds like–each Shrimp Trio features a healthy portion of the superfood shellfish prepared in three different ways.

Red Lobster's new Cajun Shrimp Trio includes shrimp dressed in a Cajun remoulade sauce, Cajun shrimp scampi and a creamy Cajun shrimp linguini Alfredo. Can't handle the kick of Cajun spices? No worries. The company also announced a trio of more classic flavors, Seaside Shrimp Trio combines shrimp with cocktail sauce, garlic shrimp scampi, and creamy shrimp linguini Alfredo. Both entrées are served with a choice of two sides and, of course, Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits.

Along with the new meal options, the brand released three refreshing cocktails meant to pair perfectly with either of the Shrimp Trios: The Blue Dream Sangria (St-Germain Elderflower, Barefoot Moscato, Blue Curaçao, white grape juice and Fancy Sprinkles Gold Glitter, topped with Starry lemon-lime soda–$1 from every drink sold to benefit Make-A-Wish), the Mango Martini (Absolut Vodka, Grand Marnier, mango purée and a Tajin-dusted lime wedge), and the Blackberry Bourbon Smash (Jim Beam Bourbon, Monin Blackberry Syrup, fresh mint, and club soda).

"From shrimp three ways to three new refreshing cocktails to choose from, Shrimp Trios is the perfect excuse to get out of the house, embrace the warmth of spring and enjoy a delicious meal with family and friends at Red Lobster," Patty Trevino, chief marketing officer at Red Lobster, stated in a release. "And if that isn't reason enough, we're excited to support Make-A-Wish by hosting a month-long fundraising drive in April, offering guests easy ways to contribute towards helping Make-A-Wish grant more life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses."

According to the company's official statement, customers who dine at Red Lobster now through Apr. 30 will receive a coupon for $10 off a future visit of $40+ (valid from May 1 through June 30) when they donate $5 or more to the restaurant's national charity partner, Make-A-Wish, during their in-restaurant dining experience.
