Red Bull Took Away A Crucial Event In Women's Freeride, So They Made Their Own

Early in 2023 Red Bull announced they would not be hosting their women's freeride progression session/Rampage prep event entitled Formation. This was a massive blow to the women's freeride movement and all of the progress they had made toward getting women in Rampage.

While the mood among the community felt demoralized, one prominent freerider, Chelsea Kimball, sprung into action. She quickly organized a women's freeride gathering to take place in the fall around the time Rampage was going on.

Take a look at her new short movie about the event below.

This event proved incredibly successful by not only making all of the women who attended better freeriders, it also led to a handful getting sponsorships - One full time paid one for Kaia Jensen - and fostered a new level of community in the women's freeride community and the Utah desert freeride community as a whole.

Women showed out and demonstrated that they deserve a place in modern freeride and should be welcomed at Rampage as soon as possible.
