Red Bull Hardline, the "super DH" race that combines elements of World Cup downhill and Rampage sized features will be making a second stop next year at Maydena Bike Park in Tasmania, Australia.

Hardline 2.0 is set to take place February 23-24, so it should provide some reprieve from the winter blues to us Northern Hemisphere folks.

Take a look at the announcement of the brand-new event below.

The legendary event has been held in the Dyfi Valley of Wales for the last decade and rumors of a second event have been circulating for some time.

Dan Atherton, the older brother of Gee and Rachel Atherton and architect of Hardline as we know it, will also be the mind behind the new track in Tasmania. Dan remaining at the helm ensures the event will stay "true to the Hardline ethos" as we all hoped it would.

Maydena has had a meteoric rise as a mountain bike destination. The area went from being nearly a ghost town to the host of an EWS, EDR, and now a second Red Bull Hardline.

It is exciting to see the positive impact mountain biking has had on that community. Hopefully others see it as a blueprint of success for what leaning into this sport can provide.
