From a Record-Breaking Vibrator to Some Very Important Dog Fashion, These Are the Best Things to Shop This Week

If the end of the weekend means a quick retail pick-me-up, you’ve come to the right place. So many of our top brands blessed us with something juicy in the past few days, from rare restocks to unexpected price drops — and we managed to discover a few new favorites to keep on hand, too.

To make your latest splurge worth it, we rounded up the very best things you can shop today, sifting through the endless comings and goings of the marketplace to rustle up only the crème de la add-to-cart crème. Shop everything worth shopping this week below, starting at just $22.

What’s New

Sometimes something old can feel brand new again. At least, that’s how we feel every time athleisure company Girlfriend Collective restocks its always-shopped-out site. Today, the brand dropped its biggest restock of every essential to date, including necessary leggings, workout bras, and even athletic skorts .

Sometimes, what’s new is something truly never before seen by mankind. Like vodka made of air, for instance. Just-launched Air Vodka converts carbon in the atmosphere into a delicate sipping spirit through a process that we frankly don’t quite understand but support enthusiastically nonetheless. Because what’s better than being stylishly carbon-negative with a buzz?

Meanwhile, Acne taught old dogs new tricks, as evidenced by its fall campaign, released this past Thursday. Acne employees posed in the brand’s latest pieces with their canine friends, proving once again that dogs make everything better — even the designer clothes we already loved .

And, no clever old-new tie-in here, but two of our favorite intimates brands released new lines — Skims with its pointelle logo collection and candle company Boy Smells with its un-gendered skivvies — and they’re each cute enough that we think you’ll forgive our faltering puns.

What’s Trending

Markle, scooch over your sparkle, there’s a new figurehead with a knack for fashion influence in town. According to global fashion insights company Lyst, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez caused a 270 percent spike in demand for near-impossible to shop Telfar bags since shouting out the brand and wearing it on Instagram. The bags are basically always sold out, but they can be found on resale sites for just a touch more.

The week’s other forcefield, according to Lyst, was BTS, who, following the release of their “Dynamite” video, caused a 128 percent increase in searches for Kangol hats — which are selling for under $70 on Nordstrom .

Women also can’t stop shopping for Nike Air Force 1s , which shopping platform Klarna has crowned the “most popular shoe of quarantine” based on saves in its app. Ariana Grande and TikToker Addison Rae have both cosigned the comfy sneaker.

Some other things women are buying like crazy? An affordable vibrator with 17,000 pre-orders that’s finally back in stock, and a plant-based dry shampoo that sold out from the site in seven hours (but can still be bought on Amazon).

What’s on Sale

As we bid adieu to summer, one thing we’re taking with us (as we’ve mentioned before) is a picnic vibe. NYC-based designer Paris99 showed its gingham-splashed S/S ‘20 collection as part of a park tableau complete with strawberry pie — and now we’re shopping it for hundreds less .

But as we embrace the crisp oncoming of fall, some evergreen investments are also on the horizon. Bags are as relevant as ever, as people have shifted shopping gears through the pandemic to focus on more big-ticket items. But that doesn’t always mean dropping major dollars.

At Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack, we clocked covetable totes from Meghan Markle-loved Strathberry , Victoria Beckham-loved Burberry , and everyone-loved picks from Marc Jacobs and Loeffler Randall .
