Recent grads are the inspiration for Town Center’s upcoming sidewalk art

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Calling all art lovers and recent graduates! Virginia Beach Town Center has a message for you.

The Virginia Beach Town Center is featuring local artists along the sidewalks to honor college, high school and advanced learning graduates. Seven Hampton Roads artists from Old Dominion University’s Department of Art are expected to create art with inspirational messages for those graduating.

From May 1 through June 14, the sidewalks will be covered in artwork at Town Center. The featured artists are: Avery Keyes, Kim Jones, Rosemarie Spracklin, Clair Landfear, Chauncey Holder and Jing Qin. These were selected by Old Dominion art professor Rick Nickel, who will also be featuring his own work.
