Rebel Wilson Just Dropped Some Major Hints About Who She's Dating

Rebel Wilson, 42, just revealed she's in a brand new relationship. And everyone is dying to know who caught her eye.
But, her partner's identity remains a mystery...for now.
Here's everything Rebel has said about her new boo so far:
First came Rebel Wilson's "Year of Health," then came her "Year of Love." The actress, 42, has been making some major life changes lately—and that includes her relationships.
Back in 2020, she dated Jacob Busch for six months, according to Page Six. After that, the Senior Year star took some time off from the dating scene before jumping back in full force.
“I’ve been so lucky to create this awesome life for myself that I want to find that person to share my life,” the actress told People in 2019. "Now it’s like Bridget Jones and I have a number of suitors. But I feel like a frontrunner will emerge.”
There was a lot of trial and error involved—but it all seems to have worked out, since she's now happy in a new relationship. While Rebel hasn't gone Instagram-official with her partner yet, she's dropped a few hints about who they might be. Here's what to know:
Rebel went on over 50 dates before she settled on this new partner.
"I think I went out with about 50 people in that one year, but some of them were just one date and then you think, ‘Oh, no,'" she explained. "I deliberately wanted to push myself to date a bunch of people and gain that experience, which I know is not normal, but it really helped me find out what I liked and what I didn’t like."
"It was a fun thing and I don’t think anybody got hurt by it or anything and nobody else knew—just me and my close friends."
"I said no to nobody," Rebel added. "I went on some dates with some billionaires and then also some people who had nothing, it was the full spectrum of people… For a woman my age—at that point I was 39—I really wanted a relationship, but I had only had a few small relationships, so I had to just get more practice in dating."
And, she had some help vetting potential matches.
Like, some serious help: "The last person I went out with on the apps, I did get the FBI to check them out," Rebel said. "And there was actually something in their past—an assault charge."
"I shouldn’t be outing the FBI, but they offered that if I ever needed a background check on someone, they would do it. It was the one time I have done this, but I just sensed that something wasn’t right. When you meet someone off the app, you don’t have a mutual circle in common with them—so I just asked the FBI!" (TBH, why not?)
They met through a mutual friend.
“I met them at a friend’s setup," Rebel explained on an episode of the U Up podcast. “I was on and off on the Raya app, but this was a friend setup,” she said. “He had known both of us for at least five years and he thought we would hit it off—and then we did!”
Rebel added that she prefers meeting someone through a friend than on an app: “I think that escalates things quicker, meeting someone from a trusted source,” she said. “I can trust that they are who they say they are, which is something that you don’t really know on the apps.”
She was rumored to be dating tennis pro Matt Reid.
One theory says Rebel was dating Australian tennis player Matt Reid.
The two grabbed lunch together in December 2021 and attended the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards together, per Page Six. But they haven't been spotted together since.
But Rebel and a friend did cheer Matt on from the sidelines in January 2022:
