Rebel Wilson is a mom!
The actress shared the news in a sweet photo posted on Instagram on Monday, Nov. 7.
“Beyond proud to announce the birth of my first child, Royce Lillian, born this past week via surrogate 💗” she began, alongside a photo of the newborn, whose face was covered with her hand.
“ I can’t even describe the love I have for her, she’s a beautiful miracle! I am forever grateful to everyone who has been involved, (you know who you are), this has been years in the making…but particularly wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate who carried her and birthed her with such grace and care,” she continued.
“Thank you for helping me start my own family, it’s an amazing gift. The BEST gift!! I am ready to give little Roycie all the love imaginable. I am learning quickly…much respect to all the Mums out there! Proud to be in your club. 💗💗💗” she concluded her emotional post.
The heartfelt reactions poured in with Arielle Kebbel, writing, "Congrats 💞💞💞 so happy for you, you’re going to be an incredible mom. Welcome to the world sweet Roycie!" as Lindsey Vonn added, "So so happy for you mama ❤️❤️".
The news comes just days after Wilson shot down rumors that she was engaged to her girlfriend Ramona Agruma. “Thanks for the well wishes but we are NOT engaged,” the 42-year-old clarified in an Instagram Stories posted on Nov. 4. The couple posed in front of the Sleeping Beauty castle at Disneyland.
The Pitch Perfect star announced her romance with Arum back in June 2022 via Instagram, noting, "I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince... but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess."
She previously credited her weight loss journey—dubbed the "year of health" in 2020, during which she lost 80 pounds—as inspired by her desire to become a mother in the future.
The actress was pretty open about her fertility struggles, opening up in Dec. 2020, during an Instagram Live about her decision to freeze her eggs
In May 2021, she followed up on Instagram, writing, "I got some bad news today and didn’t have anyone to share it with... but I guess I gotta tell someone. To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya. The universe works in mysterious ways and sometimes it all doesn’t make sense... but I hope there’s light about to shine through all the dark clouds."
It seems little Royce Lillian is that light of sunshine—congrats to Wilson on her new bundle of joy!
