Reba McEntire is back and sassier than ever in her latest role as a tough-talking judge in the upcoming Lifetime movie The Hammer.

The actress and country music icon took to social media to give fans a sneak peek of the movie—and it's full of action, laughs, and of course, Reba's trademark dry wit!

The trailer shows Reba putting a police officer in his place like only she knows how and fending off an angry man in the courtroom with her gavel. (You have to see it to believe it!)

And if you did a double take, you're not alone: Yes, that was an appearance by Reba alum Melissa Peterman aka Barbra Jean!

Also featured in The Hammer is Reba’s real-life longtime boyfriend, Rex Linn.

According to the trailer, The Hammer is “a made-up story about a real-life judge." Kim Wanker, a notable traveling circuit judge, is said to be the inspiration. (Reba's character is named Kim Wheeler.)

Here's Lifetime's official synopsis for the film: "After the reigning judge passes away under suspicious circumstances, Kim finds herself covering a circuit that stretches between Las Vegas and Reno—a rugged, often desolate area where anything and everything can happen. With gavel in hand, she lays down the law with a no-nonsense brand of justice, that quickly earns her the nickname 'The Hammer.'"

The Hammer is set to premiere sometime in 2023.
