For Some Reason, Travis Scott Won't Face Criminal Charges for Astroworld Festival

After a long wait, news regarding criminal charges for Travis Scott's involvement in Astroworld Festival has finally surfaced and unfortunately, it's not the decision that many of us were hoping for.

Scott's lawyer, Kent Schaffer, confirmed that a Texas grand jury will not be charging his client on anything related to the festival, claiming that "Travis is not responsible," and "[Travis] never encouraged people to do anything that resulted in other people being hurt."

The event, which took place back in 2021, led to the death of ten fans -- with the youngest being just nine years old. The rush caused by the event during Scott's performance led to the injury of countless fans as event coordinators lost control of the crowd. At the time, footage shared via social media showcased fans pleading with the cameramen to stop the show, but they didn't listen.

Within days of the festival, over 500 lawsuits had surfaced and Scott was pulled out of his Coachella headline slot, and his major partnership with Nike was put on hold, but less than a year later, Scott's partnership resumed and he made his first stage appearance. Now, it appears Scott won't face any charges for his involvement, a decision which many deemed to be the wrong one. Stay tuned as the story develops.
