The Reason Chick-fil-A Biscuits Taste So Good

We know, we know, nothing beats a homemade biscuit. But Chick-fil-A's biscuits sure come close.

Just how obsessed is America with Chick-fil-A biscuits? In 2018, customers ordered an impressive 133 million biscuits, according to a new post on Chick-fil-A's The Chicken Wire blog. Even crazier? Nearly 20.3 million of those biscuits were ordered at Chick-fil-A outposts in Atlanta.

Along with those interesting tidbits, Chick-fil-A also revealed a few more fun facts about their beloved biscuits. But one piece of intel really caught our eye — and may even help us up our own biscuit-making game: Chick-fil-A biscuits are buttered before they are toasted.

"What’s the secret to that great Biscuit taste? Everyone may have his or her own specific answers…but it may be the fact that each Biscuit is buttered before it is put into the oven," writes Greg Rossino in the blog post. "That way the butter sinks into the bread as it rises."

We're certainly going to keep that tip in mind next time we warm up a batch of biscuits and really want to dazzle some of our guests.
