Kids dress up as inflatable dinosaur and unicorn to help realtor mom sell house: 'Busiest open house I've ever had'

A realtor in Lexington, Ky. got a little help from her kids when it came to making a listing really stand out to potential buyers. Lynn Keyland, a mother of three, says that thanks to two of her children rocking an inflatable dinosaur and unicorn costume, her listing for her two-story home has reached thousands of people, even as far as Texas and California.

Keyland told the Lexington Kentucky Leader that she initially thought the silly photos were a risky move, but they paid off with the busiest open house she ever experienced.

Appearing as the dinosaur was Keyland's 10-year-old son, while her 12-year-old daughter starred as the unicorn, performing everyday household duties such as mowing the lawn and checking the mail.

Meanwhile, Keyland created a story, inspired by her own marriage, for the listing.

"Is it fate? Will you help settle the debate?" the listing reads. "The T-Rex wants to eventually retire in THIS house with the first-floor master and waterproofed cave room with a 116-inch theater screen, yet the unicorn wants to sell this house and retire in an oceanfront condo."

Keyland represents the unicorn while her husband is the T-Rex. Recently, the family bought a larger house after outgrowing the four-bedroom, two-bathroom house that is listed. For Keyland, it was the first home she owned, and she felt that the listing needed an extra-special description and photos due to all the memories the family have there.

"It blows my mind that something like this could get so far," Keyland told the outlet after receiving over 1,000 views in just a day. "It was definitely the busiest open house I've ever had in all my time doing real estate."

At Keyland's next upcoming open house, she and her children plan to set up a lemonade stand, which the T-Rex and unicorn will run, with proceeds going to the Salvation Army.

"This is something near and dear to my heart as I was once one of the homeless children residing [at the Salvation Army's Emergency Management Shelter in Lexington]," Keyland shared on Facebook.

The 2,117-square-foot home is currently on sale for $195,000.
