The RealReal is embracing he rise of archival fashion with its newest edit: “Rare Finds.”

The secondhand luxury shopping platform has launched “Rare Finds” with collector Keni Valenti, who consigned over 300 pieces to begin the new category — which is dedicated to unique vintage fashion items that have become must-haves for fashion insiders, celebrities and more. This includes its accompanying $75 to $1,895 shoe selection, which features rare styles up to 60 years old.

The shoe range’s earliest side features a selection of footwear from designers including Herbert Levine and Halston, ranging from the early ’50s to the ’70s. These include a variety of low-heeled boots, pumps and sandals, all featuring uppers ranging from clear straps to multicolored stripes. The ’80s shoe portion also includes pumps and ballet flats from Yves Saint Laurent and Mugler — as well a pair of white sneakers designed by the late Vivienne Westwood.

In a moment worthy of “Clueless,” the “Rare Finds” category also hosts a wide array of high heels from the ’90s. The selection includes a low-heeled Yves Saint Laurent style, as well as several printed, two-toned and color-blocked pumps from labels including Prada, Miu Miu and Moschino. Rounding out the range is a variety of early 2000s heels from Chanel, Dior and Gucci — notably featuring a set of Gucci pumps designed by Tom Ford in 2001.

Within The RealReal’s selection, the brand has also leaned into celebrities’ recent penchant for archival vintage dressing with a range of rare pieces — whether from their same collections or the exact piece itself. These include a fall 1988 Alaïa dress made for the late Tina Turner, a spring 1990 Mugler jacket seen on Kylie Jenner and a fall 1990 Jean Paul Gaultier cone-bra dress similar to Madonna’s from her 1990 Blond Ambition Tour.
