New Realm Brewing open in Greenville's West End, what to know about restaurant, speakeasy
New Realm Brewing Company has opened its fifth southeastern location in Greenville. The craft beer brewery, restaurant, and speakeasy is located at 912 S. Main in the West End.
Downtown Greenville's new gastropub takes over the former location of The Old Cigar Warehouse, which closed in April of 2022.
The 350-capacity venue will offer around 30 taps of various regional and bi-coastal beers, including ales, IPAs, pilsners, and stouts, plus ready-to-drink cocktails. The menu is identical to the other four locations across the Southeast and features appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, and surf-and-turf entrees.
Outdoors, guests will find a green space with patio seating and room for a stage to host other events over the upcoming year, according to taproom manager Kristen Gerald.
"We have tons of space, and we kept the original brick walls, has a lot of history," said Gerald, who recently moved from Charleston to Greenville to manage the new location. "We distill our own alcohol in Virginia Beach and Atlanta and brew our own beer here in-house; we really try to do it all so that it's a great place for everyone."

What's on the menu at New Realm Brewing Company?
According to Gerald, New Realm Brewing Company's menu will be similar to their other locations across the Southeast, however, the soup selections will change and coincide with the region and seasons.
Their appetizers include a cheddar-crusted mac and cheese dish, baked Maryland crab dip, and a selection of garden salads. Handheld bites at New Realm Brewing Company include a hand-pressed Cuban sandwich, a blackened fish sandwich, and burgers that are third parts brisket, chuck, and short rib.
Entrees at the new downtown brewery include fish and chips, ahi tuna poke bowls, and half-beer-can chicken.
About the speakeasy at New Realm Brewing Company
The speakeasy at New Realm Brewing Company is located at the street level at 912 S. Main and will operate as a private event space during weekdays and open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays until midnight.
The 25-capacity space will feature taps, a full cocktail bar, outdoor seating and an indoor humidor to promote cigars and as an ode to the former cigar warehouse.
No passcode or handshake will be required for entry.

New Realm Brewing Company opened in 2016 in Atlanta with co-founders Carey Falcone, Bob Powers, and Mitch Steele.
Greenville marks the fifth brewhouse and restaurant location across the Southeast as breweries under their umbrella also exist in Auburn, Alabama, Charleston, South Carolina, Atlanta, Georgia and Virigina Beach, Virginia; the latter two locations function as distilleries.
“I think we want people to think of us as a good member for the community and a positive influence for the community,” said Mitch Steele, New Realm’s brewmaster and COO, to The Greenville News in 2022. "We want to be a gathering place for the community.”
New Realm Brewing Company hours are Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.
