Sure, you shamelessly love The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, but c'mon, you know why you're really here: to see all your favorite eliminated contestants take a second (or third, or fourth) shot at love on season six of Bachelor In Paradise. But, before it's time to kick back with a mojito and watch host Chris Harrison break up fights in his best linen shirts, here's a quick refresher on the basics.

When and where can I watch Bachelor In Paradise season six?

Best news ever: This season of Bachelor in Paradise premieres on Monday, August 5-a.k.a. a week after The Bachelorette finale-so you don't have to worry about losing your iron-clad reason to drink wine on a weeknight. As per usual, episodes will air every Monday from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m.

You can watch the show live on its home network of ABC, or on demand via ABC's website (with a cable login) and on Hulu.

Who is the host of Bachelor in Paradise?

The one and only Chris Harrison is the host of Bachelor in Paradise. The OG host of all things Bachelor is back to help the cast members navigate the inevitable love triangles (and rectangles and, um, hexagons...?) that emerge in Paradise.

Btw, Chris is a kind of a BFD in the hosting world-he helmed Who Wants To Be A Millionaire for the past four years, taking over for the iconic Meredith Vieira and legendary Regis Philbin. He's also guest-hosted a ton of daytime talk shows, from Live With Kelly! (pre-Bachelorette 2019 drama) to The View.

He's become so famous for his hosting abilities (read: ability to talk tearful twenty-somethings off a ledge) that he's made cameos as himself on the small and silver screen in Single Parents, Hot In Cleveland, and Date Movie. Brb, gotta go find those scenes...

Where do they film Bachelor in Paradise?

If you want to "accidentally stumble" into an episode of Paradise, all you have to do is plan a trip to the Playa Escondida resort in Sayulita, Mexico, according to IMDb. (Ridiculous reason to book a beach vacay? Nah...) Just make sure to book your flight for sometime in June, as that's generally when the reality TV show films. In 2018, director Mike Fleiss made it as clear as the tropical ocean that filming had begun on June 8 when he tweeted this:

This year, it seems like Paradise might have gotten off to a late start, considering ABC didn't release the official cast until June 18. (Of course, Reality Steve, king of all Bachelor spoilers, had already revealed the cast list on his website and was pretty much spot-on.)

How exactly does Bachelor In Paradise work?

Once at Playa Escondida, former contestants from past seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette swim, lay out, party, and get to know each other in, quite literally, ~paradise~. Over the course of each week, they also get opportunities to take anyone they want on romantic Bachelor-style dates outside the resort.

Later in the week, there's a rose ceremony, where either the men or the women will each hand out one rose to someone they can see potential with (the power switches back and forth each time). Since there's always an uneven number of men and women in the group, whoever is left without a rose at the end of the night must pack their bags and return home to what fans can only assume is a fruitful career selling hair vitamins on Instagram.

Oh, and as the show progresses, more former contestants will move into the resort to take a chance on love and not-so-accidentally throw a wrench into Paradise's already-budding romances.

Who's in the new cast?

True to its rich history of giving former Bachelor/Bachelorette losers a second chance at love (and, let's be real, Instagram fame), the season six cast of Paradise will be chock full of recent rejects from Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette and Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor.

For starters, Cam Ayala, the semi-villain from Hannah's season with the creepy AF catchphrase (Always Be Cam), is expected to use that same ethos to find love in Paradise. Here's hoping he finds a **new** Cam to be first.

A few more of Hannah's failed suitors will join the Bachelor in Paradise season six cast: three-named wonder John Paul Jones, Kevin Fortenberry, and Dylan Barbour (who?). As for the ladies, you'll recognize some familiar faces from Colton's season: Tayshia Adams, Demi Burnett, Hannah Godwin, Caelynn Miller-Keyes, Nicole Lopez-Avar, Oneyka Evie, Sydney Lotuaco, Katie Morton, and Jane Averbukh (again, who?).

As for the BIP vets, one of the most interesting returners is Derek Peth, who previously found love in Paradise and was even engaged to fellow cast member Taylor Nolan. They broke it off in June 2018, but Derek met a new lady, Stephanie Pratt-who's stars on the reality TV show The Hills: New Beginnings-in March 2019. The duo tried doing long-distance for a few months before calling things off.

Still, it seems the ending was amicable as Stephanie said told Wells Adams, another member of the season six cast, on her podcast: "Tell him I love him and I really want him to find love," per Us Weekly. "He’s the best guy ever, and he really is looking for it," she added to the publication.

Others looking for their second (or third and fourth) chance in Paradise include: Blake Horstmann, Clay Harbor, Bibiana Julian, Wills Reid, Annaliese Puccini, and Chris Bukowski. Die-hard members of Bachelor Nation will remember Chris from two seasons of The Bachelorette, one season of now-defunct spinoff Bachelor Pad, and two seasons of Paradise. Sixth time's the charm...right?

Um, do people **actually** find love on this show?

Believe it or not, Paradise arguably has a better track record than any of its predecessors. Two couples who met on previous seasons of the show-Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert, and Carly Waddell and Evan Bass-are now happily married with children. The most recent season produced three couples that are still together, including Krystal Nielson and Chris Randone, who got engaged on the finale and tied the knot just last week in a small, intimate ceremony officiated by-who else?-Chris Harrison at the Vidanta Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, per People. So while it may seem like a crazy premise, the romance is actually very real!

What are the biggest spoilers expected this season?

Paradise is wrapping up filming for this season *right this very moment*, but Reality Steve has already shared a solid roundup of what's going down when it finally hits your TV. Do not keep reading if you don't want to know what happens!

The biggest drama of the season centers around Blake Horstmann, runner up during Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette, and *four* different women from previous seasons of The Bachelor: Hannah Godwin, Tayshia Adams (both pictured above), Caelynn Miller-Keyes, and Kristina Schulman. Apparently, Blake had cozy moments with all four of them pre-Paradise, and when they find out it is going to go DOWN. There's certainly more tears and fights and maybe a little romance to be had, but you'll have to wait until filming wraps to know the rest.

But hey, while you (im)patiently wait for Bachelor in Paradise season six to start, at least you can obsess over all the eye candy on The Bachelorette in the meantime.
