Kelly Ripa and Regis Philbin haven't spoken to each other in six years.

It's been as many since 85-year-old Philbin filmed his last episode of Live! with Regis and Kelly in 2011. The co-hosts haven't talked since then, Philbin told Larry King.

In an interview with Larry King Now on Tuesday, the Bronx native opened up about the former morning show duo's estranged relationship. When King asked if he keeps in touch with Ripa, Philbin replied, "No, not really."

Philbin began at Live! back when it was known as The Morning Show, in 1983, and was joined by Kathie Lee Gifford (1988-2000) and later, Kelly Ripa, from 2000 until his departure. He told King he he thought Ripa took his leaving personally.

"She got very offended when I left. She thought I was leaving because of her," said Philbin. "I was leaving because I was getting older and it wasn't right for me anymore."

Their last show together, on November 18, 2011, was one of many tears and tense moments. Philbin told King he hasn't been invited back, despite the 28 years he spent there.

"Did they ask you to go back, even for a day?" King prompted.

"Never once did they ask me to go back," said Philbin.
