Taylor Swift, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese

Taylor Swift's devoted fans can be found everywhere, including in Australia's most important political seat. Ahead of Swift's Sydney concerts, which start on Friday, Feb. 23, the prime minister of Australia, Anthony Albanese, was asked by a Swiftie if he would give up his concert ticket for them, but he said no.

While appearing on 2DayFM, hosted by Erin Molan, Dave Hughes and Ed Kavalee, Albanese confirmed he was attending the show on Friday, before one of the hosts asked him, "But what if you gave your ticket away to a real Swiftie fan, like a real fan? Someone struggling?"

The prime minister was then introduced to a fan who was unable to get a coveted ticket to Swift's Eras Tour. She pled her case to Albanese, sympathizing with his political identity.

"I would do anything for these tickets. I will campaign for you. What do you want?" said the fan in question. "I’m a huge fan of you, but I’m a bigger fan of Taylor."

Despite the fan's skilled argument, Albanese didn't hand over his tickets to the Eras Tour, declaring, "I am going on Friday night and I am a real Swiftie,” arguing that he's just as deserving of attending the show.

In an attempt to help the fan, the prime minister noted, "I reckon 2-TayFM can sort you out," referring to the radio station.

Just the week before, Albanese appeared on another radio show talking about the concert, helping the hosts tell a Swiftie that they were the lucky winner of a ticket.

Swift is currently in Sydney, enjoying the sights with boyfriend Travis Kelce before her shows start back up on Friday. She will play four concerts in the city before moving on to Singapore. Ahead of her stops in Sydney, Swift dominated the stage in Melbourne, calling the weekend "unforgettable" in a social media tribute after completing the impressive performances.
