‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ Star Candiace Dillard Is Married!

The Real Housewives cast has given us a lot of love stories over the years. Back in December, Atlanta’s Eva Marcille got engaged, and just last week, Miami’s Joanna Krupa got married. Now, Potomac’s Candiace Dillard has fulfilled her very own fairy-tale, as she said “I do!” to her love, restaurateur Chris Bassett, over the weekend.

The 31-year-old Bravo star and her longtime love left Maryland behind and opted to instead exchange vows at the historic Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, DC, paying tribute to the city where they first met, when Dillard was working as a server in a restaurant that her future groom was managing.

According to People, the bride stunned in a custom Karen Sabag gown at the event, which the outlet described as “cosmopolitan sophistication with a touch of Southern class.” The pair exchanged vows in front of 260 friends and family, including a few of the reality star’s fellow Housewives. A source told People the ceremony was like something straight out of a “Parisian fairy-tale.”

The pair got engaged back in May 2017. Speaking with the mag before her big day, the TV star revealed that planning her nuptials to her longtime boyfriend, who now owns Myron Mixon’s Pitmaster BBQ in DC, turned out to be an empowering experience.

“It’s helped me find my voice within my family unit and within myself,” she revealed. “It’s my right to want what I want and have what I have on my wedding day. And to not have to explain that to anyone.”

Congrats to the newlyweds!
