'Real Housewives' Alum Hits Back at Haters Who Criticized Her Bikini Pic

Luann de Lesseps called out the haters who dissed her recent bikini photo–and they've been silent since.

On Tuesday, The Real Housewives of New York City alum took to Instagram, sharing a video of herself responding to the negative comments left on a set of swimsuit snaps she shared over the weekend.

In the video, de Lesseps put the critics who said she was "too old" to wear a bikini in their place, shutting down some of the harshest comments with a few sentences. "I'm proud of the fact that I can still rock a bikini at this age," she confessed.

"Women should be able to wear whatever they want at any age, as long as they feel good," de Lesseps asserted. "So be cool, don't be like all uncool."

Her wit didn't stop there, though, as the 57-year-old singer continued in the caption, quipping, "Haters gonna hate boo! 🙄🤸🏽‍♂️."

De Lesseps' fans and fellow Bravolebrities had her back in the comments, with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Sutton Stracke questioning, "Too old for what? I’m confused?"

"I saw those negative comments and was wondering if people were looking at the same picture I was?! You look amazing! You inspire me!" another Instagram user gushed.

Real Housewives of Miami's Marysol Patton also shared her love for her pal: "Totally Lu you look better thank a-lot of 20 year olds."

The bikini photos in question were initially shared on Friday, April 21, alongside the caption "What’s cooking? 😎," a riff on where she was seen posing.

The snaps showed the TV personality rocking a white blazer and pink plaid bikini while fooling around in the dining room and kitchen area of a room at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles, California.

Even as of writing, many comments asking the star why she shared the photo–suggesting she's "aged out" of bikinis and baddie behavior–are still live.

Real Housewife Kyle Richards disagreed with the pushback, shattering the negativity and showering the star in love, writing, "Looking good!"

Aside from teasing fans with thirst traps on the 'gram, de Lesseps has remained pretty busy since RHONY stopped filming, appearing in multiple episodes of other Bravo hits, as well as episodes of The Masked Singer and Project Runway. 

The entertainer is also gearing up for the release of her and fellow Real Housewives alum Sonja Morgan for a new reality series, Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake, which sounds like a real-life version of Schitt's Creek: "Totally unbeknownst to the Benton locals, the town council surprises everyone by inviting 'Real Housewives' superstars Luann and Sonja to help spruce up their small town. It’s a fish-out-of-water experience for everyone involved, especially when the two Manhattanites check in to the local motel. At the request of the mayor, they take on tasks to boost morale and galvanize the town with a new spirit."

The series is currently in post-production and expected to air on Bravo later this year.
