Get Ready, Lana Condor Is Launching Her YouTube Channel
Is there anything our January cover star, Lana Condor, can’t do? The To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before actress announced on Twitter that she’s starting her own YouTube channel to “share with you a little more of my life and connect with you more.” The first video is her everyday makeup tutorial. The hero we need but don’t deserve! Now in addition to her adorable wit and genuine realness on Instagram, we get a dose of it through YouTube too.
Condor has always had a way with making the mundane hilarious. You may think you're clicking into a simple everyday makeup tutorial (we're all too familiar with these), but it ends up being a 12-minute beauty video that will make you smile at your desk (and potentially blow your cover that you’re watching beauty videos at work).
And while Condor is quick to crack jokes, she serves some much-needed makeup tips too: “If you have eyelids like mine, it’s hard to have eyeshadows show because I have small lids. So you want to use small circles and windshield wiper motions and build the crease. That’s the most important part because you’re trying to build dimension.”
On bold eye looks Condor has this to say: “I don’t care if it’s a super-chill, relaxed day going to buy groceries, if I’m going to wear makeup I’m going to have shimmery eyes. I don’t know what to tell you. I just love shimmer.” We couldn’t have said that better ourselves, Lana. And we’ll be staying tuned to see what video she uploads next. Regardless it’s sure to bring a smile to our faces.
