The new Prime Video show Wilderness is getting a lot of buzz (thanks, in no small part part, to Taylor Swift lending "Look What You Made Me Do [Taylor's Version]" to the trailer). The series, starring Jenna Coleman and Oliver Jackson-Cohen, is set to premiere on September 15. That gives us plenty of time to read the book that it's based on before watching, right? Well, it turns out, it's not that simple.

The new Prime Video series is based on a 2019 novel of the same name by B.E. Jones. The plot finds Liv (Coleman) and her husband Will (Jackson-Cohen) embarking on an all-American road trip from the Grand Canyon to Yosemite to Las Vegas. When Liv finds out that Will has been unfaithful, their idyllic vacation turns into the perfect opportunity for revenge. The six-episode series also stars Ashley Benson and Eric Balfour.

If you're hoping to read the novel before you watch the show like we are, you might be surprised to find that the paperback is sold out on both Amazon and Barnes & Noble (Amazon lists a used copy for $187.99). A search of our local library's inventory turned up empty too. But you're not out of luck: The ebook version is available for both Amazon's Kindle. Even better? It's only $2.99. If you're an audiobook fan, you can also listen to it through Audible (the Claire Morgan-narrated audio version is an Audible exclusive).

British author B.E. Jones (who also writes under the name Beverley Jones) is a former journalist and police press officer who also wrote Where She Went, Halfway, and The Beach House. If you're a fan of Wilderness, you'll want to add these to your TBR list too.
