Da'Vine isn't a stranger to being behind the camera or the big-screen in general. She's been in the game for over a decade, starting her career in theater. In 2012, she starred as Oda Mae Brown for the Broadway production of Ghost the Musical. Da'Vine was exceptional on stage, and she even earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.
After this stint, Da'Vine went on to garner some movie and TV acting credits. Some of her works include, Mother of George (2013), Selfie (2014), This Is Us (2016), and Empire (2017-18). She was also the voice of Mama Luna in the popular kid's movie Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022).

Where is Da'Vine Joy Randolph from?
Da'Vine is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she was born on May 21, 1986. Her initial love for the arts began in Philly where she started taking voice lessons at 16-years-old, eventually training for opera singing. She went on to pursue classical vocal performance at the Philadelphia based school, Temple University.
