The announcement comes nearly nine months after the 'Goodfellas' actor unexpectedly died at age 67.

Ray Liotta is going to be remembered by Hollywood for years to come.

The late movie star is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame later this month, nearly nine months after he unexpectedly passed away at age 67 last year.

First reported by Variety, it was announced on Friday that the ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on Friday, Feb. 24, where Liotta will posthumously receive the 2,749th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the category of Motion Pictures.

Liotta, who even appeared on Broadway, famously appeared in 1989's Oscar-nominated Field of Dreams, 1990's Goodfellas, and 1986's Something Wild, among tens of other feature films. He also starred in several TV shows, including Shades of Blue, HBO's The Rat Pack, Texas Rising, and ER, the latter earning him an Emmy Award. Most recently he acted alongside Taron Egerton and Paul Walter Hauser in the AppleTV+ limited series Black Bird.

His newest film, Cocaine Bear, opens in theaters on February 24, the same day as his star ceremony.

“Ray Liotta’s all-around career made him a triple threat and sadly his passing was devastating to the entertainment world,” said Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in a news release. “The characters he portrayed will always be etched in Hollywood’s film history."

Liotta died in his sleep in the Dominican Republic back in May 2022. His daughter, Karsen Liotta, will accept the star on her father's behalf, while Egerton and Cocaine Bear director Elizabeth Banks are set to speak during the ceremony.

Liotta's Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony will stream live at 3:30 p.m. ET/12:30 p.m. PT on Feb. 24 at walkoffame.com.
