Last month, the former Miami Hurricanes defensive back was discovered unresponsive in a central Florida home on June 14, as multiple outlets reported at the time. According to authorities, narcotics and alcohol were reportedly present at the scene.

Upon the arrival of first responders, "[police] department-issued Narcan" was administered to Ray III after at least one officer suspected the emergency situation to be related to a narcotic overdose, but unfortunately, the medication failed to yield a response.
