Ravin’s Donuts prepares to open in Apple Valley

Apple Valley resident Rosa Morales confessed that she’s “losing her mind” waiting for Ravin's Donuts & Boba Tea shop to open.

The previous owners of the popular Ravin's Donuts & Ice Cream store in Victorville said they are preparing to open a new location in Apple Valley. Sam and Raven Phon’s Ravin's Donuts & Boba Tea shop will be between the AutoZone and AMPM near the corner of Highway 18 and Rancherias Road.

The Phons, who sold their Victorville store nearly two years ago, have not announced an opening day, but told followers on Facebook to “stay tuned.”

“I worked in Victorville, and my go-to place for doughnuts has always been Ravin’s Donuts,” Morales told the Daily Press. “I drive by the new store nearly every day hoping that they opened.”

A 'magical' place for doughnuts

Over the years, the Phons drew a large foodie fan base to their Seventh Street Victorville store by selling homemade and specialty doughnuts, cupcakes, croissants, bagels, muffins, and cakes.

They also served up ice cream, fruit smoothies, banana splits, milkshakes, shaved ice, boba drinks, hot or iced cappuccinos and tea and coffee.

The Phons were also known for making seasonal doughnuts for birthdays, anniversaries, parties, and other special events.

Some of their most popular themed doughnuts included Dodgers, Christmas, Pokémon, Elmo, Cookie Monster, and unicorns.

“Ravin’s Donuts is a magic place, where Sammy and Raven greet you with smiles and the doughnuts are fresh and tasty,” said Victorville resident Olivia Marquez, a frequent customer of Ravin’s for nearly seven years.

Marquez told the Daily Press that over the years, the Phons had created dozens of specialty doughnuts, cupcakes, and birthday cakes for her family.

Voters have even put Ravin’s Donuts on top during the Daily Press’ Best of Desert competition.

Ravin's Donuts & Boba Tea will be at 20152 Outer Hwy. 18 N Suite A, in Apple Valley.
