Raven-Symoné Will Play a Beauty Influencer With Millions of Followers on "The Bold Type"

Get ready because Raven-Symoné is officially joining Freeform’s The Bold Type.

As reported by E! News, Raven has landed a recurring role in the show’s upcoming fourth season, which the network ordered back in May 2019. She will guest star on the series regulars Aisha Dee, Katie Stevens, Meghann Fahy, Melora Hardin, and co.

The Disney Channel superstar will be playing a new character named Alice, a successful beauty influencer. According to E! News’s original report, Alice will make her way to the Scarlet offices “as a celebrity model for their upcoming photo spread focusing on anti-cultural appropriation.”

The official Bold Type Instagram shared the news as well, writing, "We’re here for this. @Ravensymone will be blessing your screens as a guest star on Season 4 of #TheBoldType. Raven will play Alice, a successful beauty influencer with millions of followers." Aisha also shared two selfies on Instagram with Raven and some of her co-stars, captioning the photo, "be still my fangirl heart ♥️."

Of course, this isn’t Raven’s first rodeo on TV — by far. With a career spanning three decades, she’s most known for her iconic role as the incomparable Galleria Garibaldi in The Cheetah Girls and as Raven Baxter in Disney Channel’s That's So Raven — a role she reprised in 2017 for the series’ ongoing spin-off Raven’s Home. More recently, she’s also had a recurring role in Black·ish, which also airs on Freeform.

While a release date for The Bold Type’s fourth season is yet to be announced, the series is expected to premiere on the network in early 2020. We gazed into the future and we can already tell we’ll love Alice.
