Rich the Kid had the boldest look of the night at the 2023 BET Awards in Los Angeles.
The rapper posed on the red carpet in a head-to-toe black and white tie dye look, complete with a unexpected ski mask adorned with what appears to be a marijuana leaf on top. The headpiece's symbol feels apt for the artist, who is openly a weed enthusiast and announced he was looking for a professional blunt roller in 2019.
On social media, fans pointed out that Rich the Kid resembled WWE wrestler Rey Mysterio. "Why this n---- Rich The Kid pop out dressed like Rey Mysterio," someone tweeted, while other weighed in, "Natalie look a mess, Ari look a mess, Jess wore some mess, Rich the kid dressed like Rey Mysterio, and Lola Brooke looks cute."
The artist was accompanied on the red carpet by fiancée Tori Brixx, who wore a sheer dress with black sequins. This marks the couple's first public appearance together after the "Plug Walk" rapper issued an apology on social media to Brixx for allegedly cheating on her days before the awards show.
"I'd like to make a public apology to my best friend, my lover, and fiancée for any disrespect, disloyalty, or allegations of anything. I'm a grown man, I've done wrong, and I'm owning up and asking for forgiveness from a beautiful strong woman that has taken care of not only me but our family for years," he wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post. "I'm not like these [others]… I know I've been wrong and will fix it, love you @toribrixx, I am so sorry."
