Last Wednesday, Abbott Elementary treated us to its first ever Halloween episode! While there was so much to love about it, from a kid-led candy heist to a ghost janitor in the basement, the true highlight was everyone's phenomenal costumes. So, in honor of Halloween, I've ranked my favorite looks! Enjoy!

ABC

12.Amber as a Bad Bitch:

Amber wearing a zip-up athleisure dress, hoop earrings and carrying a small purser

While this might not be a costume in the traditional sense, I do admire her incredible confidence and how she walks around like the queen she is. It's a costume we should all wear daily!

ABC

11.Mr. Johnson as Lil Uzi Vert:

Mr. Johnson is wearing his usual janitor's uniform but has a "gem" on his forehead similar to the the diamond Lil Uzi has on his forehead

He gets points for putting some effort into his costume, but it was low effort as hell. However, this costume still hits for me as it doubled as a Vision costume at the end of the episode, when the cast re-created the infamous "stone being ripped from his forehead" scene from Infinity War.

ABC

10.Ashley as the Scarlet Witch:

This Wanda costume is incredible, but the oven mitts, while taking me out with laughter, is the reason why she's so low on this list. I do love how she matched with her bestie Melissa, though. LOL!

ABC

9.Jacob as Wage Theft:

Jacob is wearing a black-and-white striped long-sleeved shirt, a beanie, gloves, and an eye mask as he carries a bag with the U.S. dollar sign

Like Jonah from Superstore before him, Jacob leaned into having a political costume that most people didn't understand. Love the message, but the execution needs a bit more work.

ABC

8.Gregory as Sully Sullenberger:

Poor Gregory! I clocked his costume the moment he was on screen, but the increasingly wild and incorrect guesses from his coworkers were just chef's kiss.

ABC

7.Barbara as a Spelling Bee:

Barbara in a bee costume with wings with the letters "A,B,C" on the front

This costume was so creative! I'm not gonna lie, it did take me a minute to figure out exactly what she was, but that's how you know it was a great costume!

ABC

6.Janine as James Harden:

Janine wearing a basketball jersey and rocking cornrows and a full beard just like James Harden

I think this picture speaks for itself, LMAO.

ABC

5.Principal Ava as Storm:

Ava's costume itself was already a 10, but then she came in with the cloudy contacts and truly outdid herself. No one does a dramatic Halloween costume quite like Ava!

ABC

4.Janine as Marilyn Monroe:

Janine wearing a strapless gown and gloves like Marilyn wore in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

Diamonds might be a girl's best friend, but this sexy costume was Janine's soulmate! The James Harden fit was so good, but it's nice to see her show off how GORGEOUS she is, and that beard was not helping!

ABC

3.A student dressed as Thanos:

Baby Thanos sitting on the ground surrounded by candy and ring pops on his fingers

From the purple face paint to quoting the giant villain himself, Baby Thanos was one of the funniest parts of this episode. I didn't think any other student would do a better costume, but boy was I wrong!

ABC

2.A student dressed as Mr. Johnson:

I wish I could explain the noise I made when this tiny creative genius appeared on screen. The costume was already impressive, but his voice and mannerisms were so spot on, it was spooky! It just shows how memorable Mr. Johnson is, both in and out of the Abbott Elementary universe!

ABC

1.And finally, Melissa as the Scarlet Witch:

If you know me even in passing, you probably guessed this was going to my number one pick! This costume is so perfectly detailed and there's no one more perfect to pull it off than Melissa. What can I say, I love tough redheads who can rock a satin bodysuit!
