Randy Travis was looking dapper as ever at the Kentucky Derby!

In a rare public appearance, the country music icon was seen walking the red carpet dressed in a pair of gray trousers paired with a floral button-down and pink linen-mix sport coat. He topped off his ensemble with a cream-colored straw hat affixed with a black band. He was joined on the carpet by his wife, Mary Beougher.

“Had a great time at the Kentucky Derby this weekend,” he captioned a carousel of photos from the event on Instagram.

“You both look great,” one fan wrote in the comments section. “Such a huge inspiration you are Randy to so many people in so many ways! Enjoy every day!... forever and ever…” someone else said.

As a refresher, Randy suffered a massive stroke in 2013 that required brain surgery. At the time, doctors told Mary he only had a 1-2% chance of survival. Now, 10 years later, he’s putting one foot in front of the other, showing up at one of the country’s most beloved springtime traditions.
