The Amarillo Botanical Gardens held its annual Gardenfest Saturday, with local vendors selling various plants, materials, and services. In conjunction with the Amarillo Botanical Gardens event, the Randall County Master Gardeners held its plant sale Saturday at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Center, right down the street from the Botanical Gardens, with various plant vendors on hand. Funds raised with this event will help to continue the mission to educate and maintain the upkeep of the gardens.
In upcoming events, the Amarillo Botanical Gardens will hold a free North Plains Iris Show, hosted by the North Plains Iris Society, on May 11, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in the "enhancing world of irises" from 2 to 4:30 p.m. that day.
According to the Amarillo Botanical Gardens' website, they will be closed May 4.
