Raleigh County Healthy Families Alliance and Support Center opens in Daniels

DANIELS, WV (WVNS) — The Raleigh County branch of the Healthy Families Alliance and Support Center held its grand opening Tuesday, April 16th.

The center partnered with several other organizations including United Way and the Salvation Army to assist families in need in the Daniels area of the county.

Jennifer McMeekin, the Director of the Center, said she is excited to provide as much as she can for the community.

“People need help. We’re here to help them fill those gaps and we’ve got partnerships with other agencies to find the resources we don’t have. But between us and our collaborations and our partnerships, we can help them all,” said McMeekin.

The center offers resources including a baby pantry, food and clothing pantries, and a hygiene pantry.

McMeekin told 59News they accept donations of food and gently used or new clothing to add to these pantries.
