RAD hostel unveils renovations, hosts free open house

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — For those looking for a safe and affordable place for visiting friends and relatives to stay this summer, RAD Hostel has recently completed several renovations.

“The current phase of RAD Hostel’s renovation is complete!” said owner Erin Welch. “My team and I are eager to show off our upgrades and get the word out on the trend toward a more affordable, sustainable, and fun lodging option for people of all ages. “

Guests range from college students to retirees and include solo travelers, digital nomads, and youth groups.

“Hostels are not just for the youth anymore,” said Welch. They are now seeing older demographics taking advantage of the private rooms.

On Friday, May 10, RAD Hostel is hosting a free open house from noon to 9 p.m. that will include a raffle to raise money for Rocky Mountain Field Institute. Prizes include a one-week stay for two guests at Howzit Hostel in Hilo, Hawaii, and a one-week stay at A-Lodge in Boulder.
