Looks like it's being written in the stars—West Side Story's Rachel Zegler has landed the lead in the upcoming The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes film.

Zegler, who is currently filming Snow White and Spellbound, will be portraying the titular role of Lucy Gray Baird alongside Tom Blyth's young Coriolanus Snow.

The news was cemented in a joint Instagram post between the official The Hunger Games account and Zegler's.

"It's written in the stars. Rachel Zegler has been cast as Lucy Gray Baird in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes – Arriving in theaters November 2023," the post reads.

Her co-star Blyth commented, "Here we gooo [Rachel Zegler] ❤️‍🔥."

Seems like Zegler's star is set to continue rising since she made waves as Steven Spielberg's Maria in his remake of the iconic West Side Story with Rita Moreno.

Since then, she has worked on the upcoming film Shazam! Fury of the Gods as well as Disney's live-action Snow White, opposite Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, and the animated film, Spellbound.
