Emma Seligman's sophomore feature, Bottoms, is on the way, and it looks hilarious.

Produced by Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman and Alison Small and starring Rachel Sennott, Ayo Edebiri, Havana Rose Liu, Kaia Gerber, Nicholas Galitzine, with Dagmara Dominczyk and Marshawn Lynch, the official synopsis reads:

Bottoms, a refreshingly unique raunchy comedy, focuses on two girls, PJ and Josie, who start a fight club as a way to lose their virginities to cheerleaders. Their bizarre plan works. The fight club gains traction, and soon the most popular girls in school are beating each other up in the name of self-defense. But PJ and Josie find themselves in over their heads and in need of a way out before their plan is exposed.

Sennott and Seligman have joined forces to collaborate on the script after the two burst onto the scene with Shiva Baby, winning the John Cassavetes Award at the Film Independent Spirit Awards in 2022. It was Seligman's first feature as a director and Sennott's breakout role, and now the two are back exercising their comedic chops once more.

The first clip stars Sennott and Edebiri as PJ and Josie in trouble with their eccentric principal, where they drop that they'll be starting their self-defense club.

Bottoms is in select cities August 25 (LA, NY, Austin, San Francisco) and additional cities September 1.
