Rachel McAdams' Red Dress With Cutouts Is Giving Dancing Lady Emoji Vibes

The actress stunned in a fiery red number for her latest movie premiere.

Rachel McAdams channeled the "dancing lady" emoji with her latest look.

The Notebook actress looked like she was ready to salsa across the red carpet, donning a flowy crimson-colored dress with midriff and shoulder cutouts for the Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret premiere at the Regency Village Theatre on April 15 in Los Angeles, California.

The long-sleeve Victoria Beckham-designed number was paired with matching ankle-strap sandals.

As for beauty, her brown, honey-streaked hair was loosely pulled back, while she kept her makeup look simple, soft, and neutral.

The Mean Girls actress struck a few poses and smiles for photographers, and was even snapped signing autographs outside of the venue.

For the upcoming film, McAdams steps into the role of Barbara Simon, mother of the titular character, played by Abby Ryder Fortson.

Based on the 1970 Judy Blume novel of the same name, the movie follows a young girl named Margaret Simon. "When her family moves from the city to the suburbs, the 11-year-old navigates new friends, feelings, and the beginning of adolescence," according to its synopsis.

The coming-of-age comedy adaptation flick also stars Kathy Bates as Margaret's grandmother Sylvia, along with Benny Safdie, Elle Graham, and Amari Alexis Prince, among others.

During the promo for the film, the actress also provided rare comments about being a mom to two kids, whom she shares with longtime boyfriend Jamie Linden.

Per E! News, she gave birth to her daughter just months before filming the movie, so she was balancing being a mom of a teen on-screen while parenting a toddler and newborn.

"I felt like a milking machine," she said of having to pump between shots.

However, she said her experience with motherhood was necessary for the role, telling People in an interview published April 17, "As a mom, it's not too, too hard to find the messiness, the privilege of getting to watch a child grow up and be their parent," adding, "I think that's a really lucky place, a spot to be in, and I think Barb feels that."

Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret drops in theaters April 28, 2023.
