Rachel McAdams Just Opened Up About Motherhood for the First Time—and It's the Sweetest

Rachel McAdams surprised the world back in April when she welcomed her first child, a son, with boyfriend Jamie Linden.

And now, in a new interview with the U.K.’s Sunday Times, the famously private star is opening up about motherhood for the first time.

“It’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me, hands down,” she said. “[People say] your life is not your own anymore, but I had 39 years of me, I was sick of me, I was so happy to put the focus on some other person.”

Now that he’s here, McAdams is focused on making sure the little guy (whose name is still a mystery) has a normal, spotlight-free childhood. “I want to keep his life private, even if mine isn’t,” she told the paper, adding,“But I’m having more fun being a mom than I’ve ever had. Everything about it is interesting and exciting and inspiring to me. Even the tough days, there’s something delightful about them.”
