Rachel McAdams Gives Birth to Her First Child
Rachel McAdams has reportedly welcomed her first child with boyfriend Jamie Linden, according to People. Photos obtained by Hollywood Pipeline show the actress, 39, walking with her screenwriter beau, 37, who appears to cradle a newborn in his arms. However, a rep for McAdams couldn't be reached for comment.
The actress has been relatively out of the spotlight since before her pregnancy was first reported in February. One of her last big events was the Disobedience premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September 2017.
E! reports that her last public sighting was in November at a Toronto airport, where she was seen in a baggy coat and baseball cap. She also missed the premiere of her film, Game Night, at the end of February.
McAdams and Linden were first reported to be dating in 2016, when they were photographed out in LA together on a "shopping date," according to Us Weekly. Although they've kept their relationship on the down-low and haven't made any red carpet appearances together, they've been spotted in Paris and Virginia for a friend's wedding.
Though she currently remains tight-lipped about the speculated baby news, McAdams has previously opened up about wanting to start a family. In 2015, she told Marie Claire that she wanted to have kids "at some point." And in 2009, she told People, "Having a few [kids] would be great" and that she's "looking forward to it someday."
She also told InStyle in 2010, “Part of me is very attached to the idea of having children, but circumstantially, it'll have to be right. Too often you think, I just want to have a baby, but your thoughts don't include the person you're going to actually be making these little beings with. So I think it'll depend on if I find the person I want to do that with."
