Rachel Lindsay Is Reportedly in “Survival Mode” Amid Her Divorce From Bryan Abasolo

On the heels of Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo's divorce, the former Bachelorette's good friend Justin Sylvester is opening up about how the attorney is doing during an appearance on Today with Hoda & Jenna.

“She’s taking it day by day,” the E! News host told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush on the January 3 episode of their show. “I talked to her this morning. She’s just trying to pick up the pieces. She’s in survival mode,” he continued.

During the segment, Justin also offered a reaction to the Instagram statement that Bryan released mere hours after the divorce filing was made public, calling it “weird and kind of telling”—especially given that Rachel is “super private about her personal life.”

“But if everybody just gives her her privacy right now, I know that when she’s ready to talk, she will have a lot to say,” the celeb then concluded.

The update comes amid the bombshell divorce news that came out yesterday after court documents obtained by multiple outlets revealed that the chiropractor had filed the motion and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. Additionally, the docs disclosed that Bryan had asked to be awarded spousal support amid his and Lindsay's official separation date of December 31, 2023.

Amid the revelation, Bryan himself took to social media to share a statement on his Instagram. “If you've been following me for a while, you know I don't like to put my personal affairs on social media and like to keep a safe space for our family,” he begins the post. “Many of you know me as a chiropractor, and also as a husband, my proudest role so far.”

“After more than 4 years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to part ways and start anew. My parents have been married forever and I'm a family man, but sometimes loving yourself and your partner means you must let go,” he continues before adding, “I wanted you to hear it from the source before the blogs start making up their own reality. Please respect the spaces of our family and friends as we figure out our next steps.”

Just one day prior to the announcement, Lindsay penned her own heartfelt Instagram post acknowledging 2023 as “one of the hardest years of my life.” However, she maintained that she's “choosing to focus on grateful moments and carrying that energy into 2024. 💛”
