This trash panda has been shut down.

A raccoon was caught red-handed “committing a burglary” inside of a Florida high school’s vending machine, according to local police.

Instead of inserting the dollar needed for the Welch’s Fruit Snacks, the lone critter weaseled his way inside in hopes of stealing a snack before police were called to the scene and the masked bandit was “apprehended.”

“This gentleman was apprehended today while committing a burglary of a vending machine at Pine Ridge High School,” according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office on Facebook.

With the help of animal control, the thief was able to “make his exit to freedom,” and no charges were filed.

Although it is unknown how many snacks he was able to nab, police are happy to announce that the raccoon left the vending machine “with a little encouragement, and he's off to his next adventure.”
