Quick Bites: Puerto Rican cuisine downtown, Mexican at The Centre and Food Truck Fridays!

Coming soon: Puerto Rican cuisine in downtown Hagerstown

The building has housed a number of eateries since its decades as the Dutch Kitchen, but you might have noticed a complete transformation at 10 E. Washington St., just off Public Square in Hagerstown.

It's the new home of the Sofrito Authentic Puero Rican restaurant, and owner Jeovanni Diaz told the Washington County Board of License Commissioners he plans to open this month. The board granted Diaz a Class B beer, wine and liquor license for on-site sales.

A new Mexican restaurant is planned for the former Uno's building at Centre of Hagerstown.

Altos de Jalisco plans to open later this month at 17734 Garland Groh Blvd., and has also been granted a Class B restaurant beer wine and liquor license by the Board of License Commissioners.
