Queen Rania of Jordan Takes Her Royal Wardrobe to China
The Jordanian monarch stepped out in two different takes on tailored styles.
Queen Rania of Jordan kicked off September with stops in Hangzhou and Zhejiang, China. Her Majesty traveled to the region to meet with Alibaba CEO Jack Ma, before speaking at the XIN Philanthropy conference to discuss the need for continued support for global education initiatives. And on both occasions, Her Majesty debuted two takes on menswear-inspired tailoring with feminine flourish.
For a visit to the Alibaba headquarters, Her Majesty stepped out in For Restless Sleepers’s flying swan robe. It was the ideal topper to augment Queen Rania’s simplistic approach to daytime dress, an oxford shirt and black trousers. A 1980s-inspired wide belt cinched the ensemble to create a ladylike silhouette while pearl and diamond jewelry provided a sophisticated sparkle.
Similarly, at the XIN Philanthropy conference, Her Majesty stepped out in Georges Chakra’s asymmetric blazer, which featured a flaming feather motif for a strong contrast. A simple blouse underneath was subdued, while a wide belt was again employed to create a waist-defining silhouette.
