The Queen Has Made an Exclusive "Firm of Eight" Senior Royals

The firm does not include Prince Harry, Prince Andrew or Meghan Markle.

The Queen is making the royal family's inner circle a little more official. According to The Sun, she has created a "firm of eight" to attend royal appearances and work on causes close to them. This firm includes Prince Edward, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Kate Middleton, Prince William, the Queen, Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and Princess Anne.

Unsurprisingly, the group doesn't include, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle who left the royal family in early 2020, or Prince Andrew, who was relieved of his duties following his involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein case.

According to the outlet, the Queen believes “one must be seen to be believed," and this new group is set to carry out that mission in the coming year.

Recently, the royals have been out and about performing more in-person duties. Kate Middleton and Prince William recently ended a royal train tour where they traveled by rail and thanked essential workers. Last week, the "firm" made their first appearance together since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. On Instagram, the family shared that they had gotten together (at a distance) to listen to the Salvation Army band play Christmas songs.
