Queen Letizia contrasted a sea of black suits with a fresh breeze of rose blush this morning.

The queen, with husband King Felipe VI of Spain, hosted an official lunch honoring the winner of the 2023 Miguel de Cervantes Prize—the most prestigious award in Spanish-language literature—at the Royal Palace in Madrid. For the occasion, Letizia pulled out a beautiful tea dress in a powder-pink shade.

The gown had structured shoulders, long sleeves, and a flared skirt with slight pleats that flowed below her knees. At the right shoulder and waist, two delicate flower appliqués in gauzy layers blended in, adding a subtle touch of romance to the piece. Other flowers adorned the skirt.

Letizia wore the dress simply with beige pointed-toe heels with a slingback detail, and gold jewelry. As always, the stylish royal coordinated her makeup with her outfit, this time opting for a berry blush and shadow, and a glossy pink lip. She wore her brown hair in a sleek long bob curled in.

Whether she’s in a gown or showing off her chic street style, the Spanish queen never disappoints. Earlier this month, Letizia captivated us with a business-casual ensemble that championed the current pop-of-red trend in the most elegant way. It was composed of a breezy ivory bow blouse by Carolina Herrera tucked into the most perfect high-waisted leather pants in a smoky red, by Hugo Boss, and capped with leather kitten-heel pumps from Spanish brand Magrit in the same rouge tone.

Weeks earlier, the royal wore a fabulous pair of pants: silky high-waisted trousers in a deep teal with a subtle sheen. She paired those with a thin black long-sleeved sweater, a black belt, and chunky black leather loafers.
