Queen Letizia’s Autumn Closet Includes a Pleated Teal Dress and Slingbacks
Spain’s Queen Letizia is back to delivering easy, breezy street-style inspiration.
The chic royal stepped out to mark World Mental Health Day in an effortlessly elegant autumn ensemble composed of statement pieces and timeless staples. The centerpiece of the look was a teal and aquamarine sundress with a black-and-white paisley print, by Sandro. The midi dress featured a mock wrap top which transitioned into a pretty pleated skirt at the waist. The monarch wore the piece with classic pointy black slingback heels and a leather shoulder bag. Her only accessories were a pair of abstract silver earrings. Per usual, Queen Letizia kept her makeup look natural and wore her hair in casual waves.
The queen wore the outfit to attended today’s Mental Health's Day 2023 event at the Ilunion Hotel in Madrid. It was organized by the Spanish Mental Health Confederation, in collaboration with the ONCE Foundation, the Ministry of Social Rights, and Agenda 2030. As she is the honorary president of UNICEF Spain, Letizia holds the topics of mental wellness and human rights close to her heart.
Over the years, she has done plenty of work in the mental health sector, and last year gave a speech on the importance of having conversations around the topic. “This, let’s call it boom of conversations around mental health, could be, has to be the beginning of the collective answer that is needed in the societies we live in. Let’s wish for it to be so,” she said at the Impact Hub Piamonte in Madrid in October 2022. “Also Stephen Hawking, the brilliant scientist, left it written: ‘Mankind’s greatest achievements have come about by talking, and its greatest failures by not talking.’ Therefore, thank you to all of you who are here today to meet again and keep moving forward.”
