It may seem a little strange to be gearing up for Halloween when social distancing is in place, but who said you can’t go all out on fancy dress over Zoom? Whether you have a small, spooky gathering planned or a virtual one, now is the time to get creative and start planning your costume. And who better to look to for inspiration than model and presenter, Heidi Klum, who is known for hosting one of the most lavish annual Halloween bashes in Hollywood.

While we're not certain if Klum will be hosting her yearly Halloween party next month, which will be in its 21st year, if plans go ahead it is likely the supermodel will serve up an unprecedented visual spectacle, even more show stopping than the last.

From her iconic Jessica Rabbit rendition to cloning herself five times over, the 47-year-old's dedication to the Halloween festivities is a reminder to let loose and have fun at every age - even this year (at a distance, mind you).

Here, we look back at Heidi Klum's most impressive Halloween party looks, and the beauty products you need to recreate them at home...

When you think of Klum and Halloween, it's usually her 2015 Jessica Rabbit that comes to mind. Almost unrecognisable by way of plastic prosthetics and artfully laid make-up, this costume is undoubtedly one of her bests. Use Mac's Clear Gloss, £20, to create a super high shine on the eyes, lips and high points of the face for a lifted and exaggerated look.

If all else fails, go as yourself, and then some. Klum created her signature look, six times over in 2016, when she arrived at her fright night with five model clones. It's all about the eyes here, focus on creating Heidi's classic smokey eye look with a dark brown blendable eyeliner like Rodial's Smokey Eye Pen Brown, £17. If you're feeling extra brave, opt for a black khol instead.

At a pre-party bash last year, Klum was all glittered out, in fact the only thing lacking some was her neon green hair. Use NYX's Face & Body Glitter, £6.

Donned in a black wig and spidery bottom lashes, Klum graced us with an evil Betty Boop at her third annual bash. When recreating this look, think red and lots of it. Wash your lids with a few swipes of Huda Beauty's Obsessions Precious Stones Eyeshadow Palette in Ruby, £25, and finish off with some red rhinestone stick-ons which can be bought from Amazon or craft stores.

The one that started it all. Klum arrived at her first ever Halloween extravaganza in 2000 with studs and generous servings of pleather. A dominatrix? A goth? We're not entirely sure, but this look is probably the easiest of all, and should you opt for it, you'll be needing lashes. Try Lasplash's Golden Gatsby 3D Faux Mink Lashes Gold Digger, £9.50.
